PROJECTS IN SYDNEY

PROJECTS PHOTOGRAPHED BY JONNY VALIANT

Michael stated his priority was to - "keep the view as priority 1 and ditto for priority 2"

By forcing the kitchen, bathrooms and store rooms into the core of the building all the bedrooms and living rooms could be exposed to magnificent harbour views.

To ensure that the view was not lost all spaces were designed with massive pivoting doors and sliding walls. This allowed total flexibility to change spaces around and create an element of surprise.

Materials and finishes were chosen to bounce light everywhere. Without resorting to mirrors, many of the surfaces were polished to a mirror finish or glazed, so that the light was forced deep into the heart of the apartment.

The interior was created to be tonally homogenious thereby leaving the colour to the outside scenery.
