This dramatic over scaled English Tudor 20s home originally built for a prominent Victorian tramways official and was one of the first homes of its stature in the Melbourne, Australia.

The owners had come from a very modern minimalist house, which I previously designed for them, so they wanted the opposite of that; something sumptuous and luxurious .

With the outlook onto the palm trees and the scale of the rooms we all agreed we would go for an “LA Luxe” look which is still quite contemporary, but with antiques and oversized pieces of American furniture mixed in.
