PROJECTS IN MELBOURNE

PROJECTS PHOTOGRAPHED BY DEREK SWALWELL

This custom-designed apartment enjoys panoramic views over Melbourne’s art precinct, parks and city.

This view informed the concept, which embraces the city from a protected environment. A cocoon-like form, the ‘bent wedge’, offers refuge from the predominantly glazed façade and informs the way the internal spaces relate with each other, and with the vista.

The wedge weaves through three structural spines, offering retreat in the master bedroom, a platform for kitchen/dining spaces and an edge for the living space.
