The site is on a steeply sloping street, offering views to the harbour and west of the city of Sydney.
A 2 level design was developed with 3 bedrooms on the top and living, dining, family rooms located on the bottom level.
The north western panoramic views over Mosman's Sirius Cove generated the form of the internal volume.
The upper level was hollowed out providing a generous 2 storey living room which was overlooked by the bedroom mezzanine. This allowed the views to be enjoyed from upstairs as well as downstairs.
The service core (kitchen / laundry) on the ground floor - ensuite and bathroom on the upper floor were stacked directly above one another on the east. This allowed the living areas to be oriented to the north and west.
The organisation of the house is also revealed in the roof profile which consists of 3 vaulted forms.
Substantial use of glass stacking and sliding doors were used to provide continuity of internal space to external gardens and decks all at the same time.
The 2 storey living room is wrapped on 2 sides by a timber deck and enjoys the western view thorugh a 2 storey glass wall.
