This house replaced a fibro cottage on a long narrow site and adopted the basic "shotgun" plan typology but expresses it more clearly
A north facing sawtooth roof provides excellent light to each room along the corridor and a lower level is introduced by utilising the natural fall of the site
A roof terrace opening off the main bedroom allows northern light topenetrate into the southernmost space of the double height living area which spatially extends in north into the dining room and kitchen and south to the walled courtyard thereby extending the living area
