This new home perched high above Kiama near Saddleback mountain is patently not a colourful or disorderly statement
The aim was to build a tightly planned , simple structure with sweeping views - that reads as one container and touches the earth lightly
Built on 2 concrete block store-rooms (teenage escape pods) the house is structurally supported by 2 steel trusses aong its entire length
At one end is the master bedroom (with ensuite and dressing rooms) : at the other end are 2 childrens bedrooms (with ensuite bathrooms) plus a laundry / pantry and kitchen service core : in the middle is the open plan living dining room and kitchen
Its a helicopter view level with the scudding clouds.
