To take advantage of Quensland's year round sunshine, the architect needed to incorporate plenty of outdoor living space, masses of windows and clever ways to keep heat at bay. And whereve possible keep the traditional feel of the 80 year old house.
Knocking down walls was inevitable to achieve the desired flowing spaces, but the architect was careful to retain the best original features of the classic home, like the enormous bay windows at the front of the house.
The owners brief for the house to revolve around dining and outdoor entertaining has been achieved with style.
