A solid curved wall plays the dual role of completing the cul-de-sac street frontage creating a visual barrier from the public pathway and providing protection from the western orientation.
The vaulted and flat roof of the 2 pavillions allows surrounding dwellings to maintain views to the harbour.
Entrance to the wedge shaped circulation zone on the upper level of this 2 storey house divided the long barrel vaulted pavillion from the sweeping curved amsonary wall containing the second pavillion. The wedge narrows to a dramatic double height pivot window framing the harbour view.
The open plan of the north-south running barrel vaulted pavillion is punctuated by a massive concrete bench and kitchen joinery cantilevering from the main vault.
Glazed on 3 sides the pavillion is shrouded by a timber screen and completed witht he enclosure of a large balcony forming an outdoor room.
The ground floor level of the long pavillion houses 3 bedrooms and a rumpus room, and opens out to a swimming pool and garden.
The second pavillion is more intimate. The main bedroom and balcony is contained by the curve of the masonary wall along with the en-suite and guest bathroom.
