The Pasfield apartment is a design of paradoxes: From the exterior, it's a minimalist's utopia, but cross the threshold, the designer Greg Natale idiosyncratically transforms the interior into a 60s retro Hollywood Hills with pared-back lines and nostalgic psychedelic curves. He juxtaposes them with applying whiter than white Dulux Lexicon Quarter on the walls.
Greg Natale audaciouly introduce disjunctive artefacts into the formal areas of the apartment - blue velvet baroque-style armchairs, ornately framed antique paintings, Greek motifs, quirky chandelier...he reinterprets kitsch and sculpts a beautiful and sophisticated space.
The dining zone situated at the rear of the apartment separates the living room from the causal seating area. The dark undertones of the dining table echo the modern black furniture, while its lighter hues coordinate with the traditional walnut furniture in the entrance way, creating a flow between the open-plan spaces.
