Woods Bagot was commissioned as Architects under a contract with Leighton Contractors to design a New Digital and Pay TV Broadcasting facility for Optus. In addition to broadcasting PTV services and housing the Optus Internet platform trialing the interactive TV product, the National Digital Media
Centre (NDMC) was purpose built to showcase those services and bring them together. Woods Bagot was instructed to design an exciting and creative work environment for staff, balancing the excitement of ‘state of the art' technology with the warmth of natural timbers, expansive light and open spaces.
