The brief was to strip out an existing 2 bedroom apartment and create a simple, crisp space that connected living and home office space to the view. The apartment is located on the top Eastern corner of an apartment building that virtually overhangs Bondi Beach, so the view is an important component of the apartment experience. A linear kitchen was installed between living space and home office and is configured to allow a view to the beach. Aluminium sliding doors disconnect the office from the rest of the apartment when required. A central joinery unit defined entry, became part of the kitchen and supported a minimal stone dining table. This space is now light filled and all spaces are interconnected and address the beach.
