The project involed the renovation of a pre-existing house, originally spread over a singlew story, and the addition of a second story to accommodate the requirements of a family. The house is set on the top of a small hill, giving it views of the street and the surrounding neighbourhood.
The main challenge was to exploit this benefit while also restoring the interior to make it a comfortable, well lit living space. A solid brick block follows the contours of the ground and forms the base for another lighter element, made of wood, metal and glass, designed to take advantage of the views all round.
