To capitalise on such an amazing position the client's brief was for the apartment to feel like sophisticated New York address as if it was overlooking Central Park.

With this in mind CHDC in collaboration with Sophie Moore Pty Ltd approached the design loosely around the concept of public & private spaces.

While the library is a quiet room for TV watching & reading, it too has been planned to expand to fit a group. Strong oversized pieces were used throughout the apartment with many elements custom designed to fit the generous proportions of the space.

The palette was kept to sophisticated greys & champagnes combined with graphic black & whites to compliment the client's substantial aboriginal art collection.

Fabrics were layered in textures of classic linens, silks & velvets and rugs were deliberatley soft & shimmery to provide luxury in an otherwise hard space. Finished off with throws & sculpted accessory pieces, the look is sophisticated and totally liveable.
