It had originally been the Boiler House for the CSR Sugar Refinery located on the peninsula and is now part of Lend Leases extensive apartment development at Jacksons Landing, Pyrmont.
Stanic Harding were approached to develop the apartment beyond the basic layout, originally proposed as part of the development. This involved a full redesign and necessitated alterations to the main building structure.
The main public spaces are located on Level 12 along with the master bedroom and guest bedroom. Level 13 accommodates a family room, study, laundry and an expansive roof terrace offering panoramic views onto the City and the Harbour.
The living, dining and kitchen areas interrelate and are all connected to the main north facing terrace. Glass sliding doors running the entire length of the terrace eliminate the boundary between outside and inside.
It now reads as one continuous element
Intelligent planning and neutral finnishes were the essential design ingredients in this project.
The view is a contnuous element in the apartment and the luxurious interior creates athe perfect backdrop to the vistas of the Sydney skyline and harbour.
One of the design highlights is the calacutta marble floating island bench which is an impressive 200mm deep
