Architect couple with modernist leaning seek humble 1960's box for remodelling. This could easily have been the self penned brief for architects David and Anne Crampton as they searched Melbourne for their next family home.
Anne runs her architectural business from home, so it was important to have an envionment that suited her personal and professional life. She needed a relaxed, comfortable home for David, herself and their two sons, and a apce in which she cold happily work and greet clients.
David and Anne wanted an open plan home with lots og glazing and ample storage, but nothing too cavernous. "Who wants all the cleaning?" ask Anne. They were also keen to retain the separate living and bedroom wings of the original house.
