It is situated within a sensitive heritage zone, (Greville Street Prahan), opposite the local council building. Emulating the existing details of the Post Office opposite the site - Connell attempted to contain as many apartments, offices and shops as possible while maintaining a large degree of natural light within the spaces.
All apartments are north facing with City views .
A simple uncluttered approach was taken when designing the façade with the intention of reducing the bulk of the double fronted site so that the building is sympathetic to the scale of the streetscape,
External materials were chosen for their unclutterd appearance, such as the use of bluestone for the façade stairs and passageways
The result is strength in simplicity.
