Commonwealth Bank Place, wich sits on the western edge of the Cbd linking it with Darling Harbour, completes a seven year accomodation strategy for the Commonwealth Bank of Austrlalia (CBA). The aim of the strategy was a more effective use of the bank's property and an alignment of their operational, cultural and property requirements. Originally, there were no less than twelve CBD locations. These have now been consolidated into two campuses with the aim of providing campus style buildings offering a quality work environnement.

The executive 0of CBA appointed E.G.O Group as interior designers for Commonwealth Bank Place in July 2007 with q brief to re-define the CBA's corporate identity and create a best practice work environnement. E.G.O. then established a partenership with Davenport Campbell, who had designed the CBA's interior at Sydney's Olympic Park- a centre of excellence outside the CBD nand home to the insurance division of the bank, a call centre and technology teams. E.G.O. acted as Creative Directors with Davenport Campbell as collaborating Architects bringing their experience from Olympic Park to the table.
