To enter the space one feels privileged to be invited into this grand environment, almost as if you have been invited into someone's home.
The key to Comme was to complement the Victorian heritage of the space. It was important that Comme maintained the idea of the Victorian mansion as a series of rooms with a series of different experiences.
On entering, the guest is not exposed to all of the hidden secrets Comme holds. The whole story of Comme unfolds as you explore the space.
The restaurant immerses patrons in Melbourne's Victorian iconic history. References of decorative Victorian detail have been layered throughout the building and played on as a theatrical celebration of the antique interior's architectural expression.
