The brief was written for CCA by DEGW and formed the beginning of an intensive user consultation process in the detailed development of the design concepts.
Objectives of this project included the development of a flexible team-based work environment to facilitate and encourage communication and improved productivity in an organisation experiencing a high degree of change. Rationalisation and standardisation of accommodation standards based on what staff members do rather than their place in the organisation hierarchy has allowed CCA to better manage their fitout and reduce the cost of "churn".
The complete refurbishment and fitout of floors was delivered progressively over an 18 month period to limit the disruption to CCA's 400 employees
.
With secure access to each level, the typical floor plan incorporates informal meeting and staff areas adjacent to the lift lobby and meeting areas in a "flight deck" type environment.
