Bettina Liano sought to revitalise its fashion brand through the launch of a flagship store. The concept was conceived with the framework of a larger branding strategy that aimed to create a strong retail presence consistent with re-aligned values. Equally important is the potential for the store design to be implemented throughout Australia and overseas.
The project references historical precedents such as Art Nouveau, The Moderne and Art Deco, as these were seen as key markers for the clothing design strategy. These precedents are reinterpreted and reinvigorated in a manner that reflects the aspirations of the brand whilst also acknowledging the contemporary context of the shopping centre.
