Amadeus is a leading edge provider of global distribution and ticketing software for the tourism industry. Woods Bagot were commissioned to design the new Australasian Headquarters in Sydney. Woods Bagot provided building evaluation, design, documentation and project management services. Through critical review European planning principles and workplace standards evolved to take into consideration Australian cultural and environmental factors. Innovative design solutions fused company policies with local fitout practices. Amadeus' business plan and strong global philosophy underpinned our design concept. The design in turn has been
used as the catalyst through which to launch the company in the local market. Fluid interconnecting spaces create a hierarchy expressing public and meeting zones as organic free forms. "Ride the wind," "Feel the Water," and "Follow the Sun" reinforce the Amadeus mission statement as strong graphics layered throughout space. The juxtaposition of highly reflective and warm, textural materials, with colour as a signifier are realised in a composition of grounded and weightless elements. The design solution celebrates the company's brand and culture to its staff and clients. A showcase of the Amadeus vision in built form.
