The house was built in the early 1920's and set in an open, slightly formal garden. We felt it was important to work within the original architecture and peel back the layers of the Mid-1980's fitout. Our clients brief was specific - this is primarly a family home which must also exhibit and existing and expanding contempoary art collection. The househas been transformed into an elegant, warm and minmally detailed series of spaces. The palette of finishes and colours is calm and allows the clients presence and personality to overlap.
