INTRODUCTION

It was while looking at my fathers echtachrome slides through an old 1960's slide viewer that I think I first became enamoured with photography. I was also fascinated by the camera itself, the workmanship and the precision of its many parts. I think this was also the beginning of my fascination and admiration for design.

My fascination with photography stayed with me through my school years, although I must admit, I never did think of it as a career. In fact, at one time I even entertained the idea of becoming an architect.

After having completed formal studies in photography, I was lurred away from the things I loved by the high paying corporate job. There comes a time in your life though when you have to ask yourself, "What am I doing?" It is this question which has brough t me to the present.

Having re-ignited my love of photography, and with the help of a supportive partner, I have been fortunate enough to be able to start a career in the one thing that has fascinated me my entire life.

My work involves having a good dialogue with the client. This is important because at the end of the day it is their vision you are trying to interpret. You want to be able to capture the best features of the project without being unrealistic about what can be done. This is why I think it is just as important for the client to be made aware of the photographic process.

Although my work is interiors, I am looking to expand my portfoliio to include more architecture and portraiture.
