INTRODUCTION
Born in London, 1974
“My interest lies in finding thoughtful answers to progressive questions, where the richness of a project derives from a strong idea, an idea powerful enough to function as a catalyst to kick-start the design process.”
Having studied at the London College of Furniture and at Wimbledon School of Art, Damian attended Kingston University in London obtaining a Degree in 3D design.
He then went on to work at Sandellsandberg, where he was design assistant to Thomas Sandell until 2003.
This allowed Damian to work on a wide range of projects for, amongst others, Artemide, B&B Italia, De Padova and Swedese.
From 2001 Damian’s work has featured in numerous exhibitions and publications in both Sweden and Italy
From 2002 to 2004 Damian was chosen to participate as Jury member for the Greenhouse exhibition, responsible for selecting new designers.
In 2004 he was awarded a Scholarship by the Swedish Arts Grants Committee for design related research.
In 2004 Damian founded Damian Williamson Office for Design in Stockholm, Sweden
As of 2005 Damian serves as Guest Critique at the LTH Design University Sweden.
